After serving time for a crime he didn’t commit, Muckmud walks free only to find that home no longer feels like home. His neighborhood has hardened, the rules have changed, and the family he left behind is fractured by pain, distance, and unanswered questions. As old alliances pull him back toward familiar dangers, a new love offers a glimpse of hope and a different future. But redemption isn’t easy in a city gripped by rising violence and the constant temptation of drugs. Forced to navigate loyalty, survival, and forgiveness, Muckmud must decide whether to repeat the cycle that almost destroyed him or fight for a life he’s never truly been allowed to have. Four Birds is a gritty, emotional story about second chances, identity, and the cost of choosing who you become.
